You can read more about our latest funding round https://www.cortex.io/post/announcing-series-c. 💼 The Role As a Senior Professional Services Engineer, you will act as a hands-on technical consultant, owning customer engagements end to end, from kickoff through delivery and handover. Your focus is helping customers successfully design, implement, and scale their Cortex setup through a consultative, hands-on-driven approach. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their engineering ecosystem, data models, and how their organization structures its Engineering Operations System. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to customers, solving real technical problems, and translating complex systems into practical solutions. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, from engineers and platform teams to Product Managers, Engineering Leadership, and CTOs. 🛠️ What You’ll Do Customer Engagement & Delivery Deliver Cortex Onboarding & Implementation packages (multiple predefined tiers), including a series of pre-defined enablement workshops, as well as custom engagements Own Professional Services engagements from kickoff through delivery and handover - Serve as the main technical point of contact during implementation to troubleshoot issues, investigate bugs, and raise product feedback through Zendesk and direct customer interactions. Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer tooling, workflows, and engineering operating models Act as a trusted, consultative advisor, helping customers make informed design and implementation decisions Technical Implementation Design, configure, and troubleshoot Cortex features and integrations across the engineering toolchain (e.g. reporting, workflows, CI/CD, SCM, cloud providers, observability, incident management, security tools, catalogs, custom APIs) Advise on and implement data modeling strategies within Cortex (entities, relationships, ownership, domains) Create and communicate architecture diagrams for Cortex setups and ingestion pipelines Guide customers on data ingestion automation, ownership, reporting and orchestration approaches (e.g. GitHub Actions, Argo) Content & Enablement Create customer-facing learning guides, walkthroughs, and best-practice documentation Plan and facilitate enablement workshops for different audiences (engineering, platform, product, leadership) Contribute internal content on advanced technical use cases and implementation patterns Support the creation of learning videos, demos, and Professional Services playbooks ✔️What We’re Looking For Core Skills & Experience Experience in customer-facing technical roles, such as Professional Services, Technical Consulting, Solutions Architecture, Platform Engineering (with customer exposure), or similar Hands-on experience integrating SaaS tools via APIs, webhooks, and ingestion pipelines Strong understanding of: Cloud-native architectures Kubernetes & Helm (conceptual understanding required; hands-on a plus) Data modeling and entity relationships Familiarity with modern engineering ecosystems (CI/CD, GitHub/GitLab, cloud providers, observability, incident management) Comfortable working with JSON and YAML (Python, SQL, and scripting are a plus, not  💰 Compensation Starting Salary Range: £100,000 - £135,000 Competitive Equity Package *Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
