What You’ll Do:
As a Lead Advanced Practice Clinician, you’ll join a dedicated and skilled team at one of our Health Centers where you will provide high-quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, including sexual and reproductive health care, contraception, STI care, gender-affirming hormone therapy, abortion care, and more.
You will provide valuable oversight in clinic operations, provide APC mentorship, and deliver life-changing healthcare services in a highly supportive environment at the state’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health care.
You will also be responsible for providing mentorship, coaching, and supervision for a team of highly dedicated APCs at our Central and Western Massachusetts locations.
Lead APCs at PPLM are critical team members who help shape our clinical environments and foster a strong sense of teamwork and excellence, while adhering to PPLM, state, and federal protocols including OSHA, CLIA, and MA Department of Public Health regulations

Your Day to Day:: Clinical Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care in family planning and abortion services in Central and/or Western Massachusetts
Facilitate patient flow and ensure adherence to standard workflows for clinical efficiency
Serve as clinical resource for Advanced Practice Clinicians and Patient Care Assistants
Ensure compliance with PPLM's Follow-Up Manual for abnormal results and referrals
Administrative Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Health Center Managers to adjust staffing as needed
Provide clinical performance observations and feedback to Health Center Managers and Advanced Practice Clinicians based in Central and Western Massachusetts
Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional guidance to Advanced Practice Clinicians
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of Advanced Practice Clinician staff
Review quarterly audits and incident reports; develop corrective action plans as needed
Attend all clinician and site management meetings
Analyze clinical and operational reports to improve service delivery
Maintain current knowledge and adherence of PPFA and PPLM protocols and support any updates
Provide clinical coverage outside of regular hours as needed
Other tasks and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:: Master's or Doctorate degree and current Massachusetts licensure as NP, CNM, or PA; CPR certified
3 years of management experience preferred
Proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Brazilian Portuguese is highly preferred
A strong commitment to providing the full range of sexual and reproductive health care is essential; prior experience is welcomed but not required
Strong interpersonal skills; commitment to health equity and an ability to work with diverse populations
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to stay active throughout shifts
