The details
This role is located at the SLC Lab (2595 Custer Road SLC, UT 84104)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7am-7pm
Training Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am-6pm
What You’ll Do
Promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, policies, and SOPs
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, calibrations, inspections, and repairs on production and optical processing equipment
Support production operations by balancing real-time troubleshooting with preventative maintenance initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and automated production systems
Locate, diagnose, and repair equipment failures using schematics, diagrams, manuals, specifications, diagnostic tools, and technical documentation
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair production and support equipment while ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime
Develop a strong understanding of equipment operations, system faults, calibrations, and manufacturer technical requirements
Communicate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and technical support teams to resolve equipment issues when necessary
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, preventative maintenance schedules, PM logs, repair records, and spare parts inventory
Support continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment reliability, production efficiency, safety, and quality
Partner with operators, leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to optimize operational performance and minimize production interruptions
Assist in creating and updating standard operating procedures, work instructions, and maintenance documentation
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Communicate equipment concerns, operational risks, and production impacts in a timely manner
Why we will love you
High school diploma (or GED equivalent)
2–5 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, production maintenance, or technical equipment repair experience preferred
Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical systems preferred
Familiarity with PLC systems, industrial automation equipment, HVAC, or CNC-type equipment is a plus
