For more information, visit www.vectra.ai.  The Role  We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Fusion engineering team, focused on building systems that ingest, process, and analyze network cloud telemetry such as flow and DNS logs.  This is a high-impact, hands-on technical leadership role. You will design and scale distributed systems that power real-time detection, while influencing architecture, standards, and engineering practices across teams.    What You’ll Do  Design and build scalable backend systems using Go and Python   Develop and evolve high-throughput data pipelines for network flow and DNS telemetry   Architect systems for real-time and near real-time data processing   Improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of platform services   Lead design and code reviews, setting a high bar for engineering quality   Drive cross-team architecture and platform alignment   Partner with product and detection teams to deliver shared platform capabilities   Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and ownership     What We’re Looking For  8+ years of experience building distributed systems at scale   Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience with Python   Experience with streaming or data-intensive systems (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Flink)   Solid understanding of network telemetry (e.g., flow logs, DNS)   Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)   Strong background in systems design, performance, and reliability   Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across teams   Nice to have:  Background in cybersecurity or network detection   Experience with real-time analytics systems   Expertise in data warehousing technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Druid)     Why Join Vectra  Work on high-scale, real-time systems solving complex security challenges   Help build a platform that processes massive volumes of network data   Collaborate with experienced engineers in a high-impact environment   Contribute to technology that directly improves customer security outcomes  Our competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the range provided below.
