We’re looking to hire a Strategic Deployment Manager to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods! As a member of our Enterprise Informatics team, you’ll play a vital role in all stages of the Schrödinger Platform deployment for customers, from initial project scoping through to long term successful adoption. An effective communicator with excellent organizational skills A customer-service oriented deployment manager who’s passionate about helping drive user success What you’ll do: Customer Development & Success Manage LiveDesign implementation projects end-to-end, from early-stage discovery through deployment, training, and sustained adoption Serve as the primary contact for existing accounts, providing responsive support including inquiry resolution, feature utilization guidance, and consultative advice Conduct regular usage monitoring, synthesize customer feedback, and share actionable insights internally to inform product improvement and roadmap decisions Pre-Sales Activities  Identify and prioritize target accounts within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors; design strategic engagement approaches tailored to each Plan and execute high-impact value demonstration activities including workshops, seminars, and on-site meetings Lead support Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements with prospective customers, ensuring clear value demonstration and successful execution Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Account Managers, Application Scientists, Solution Architects, and the Education Team to drive account growth and platform adoption Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to represent real-world customer needs and influence the LiveDesign product roadmap A Day in the Life of an Strategic Deployment Manager: A typical day involves balancing multiple concurrent responsibilities across different phases of the customer lifecycle. Pre-Sales: Lead a scoping call with a potential new customer in preparation for a demo to showcase how LiveDesign addresses their key needs Deployment: Serve as a project manager, leading calls between internal and external technical teams to resolve current deployment issues and develop plans for longer-term improvements to the customers LiveDesign deployment, such as data integration configuration or troubleshooting SSO Support: Triage incoming support tickets, replying to end users and relaying product feedback to the relevant internal teams Long-Term Customer Success: Host an "Office Hours" session to walk end-users through solutions to their specific problems and questions. This may lead to identifying new issues that need to be brought to the Product team’s attention through ticket creation Strategic Work: Attend an internal product call workflow meeting to review user stories or track feature delivery What you should have: BSc in a life science (MSc or PhD preferred) At least three years of experience in a life sciences field related to drug discovery Experience with computational chemistry or cheminformatics in a research setting Experience in leading or coordinating a software project (deployment, adoption, feedback loop) Pay and perks: Schrödinger understands it’s people that make a company great. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
