Woodard & Curran is growing! To support this growth, we have an immediate opening for a Project Manager for the water and wastewater treatment facilities near Ft. Meade, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance and management, administrative duties, and maintaining close client communications. You will oversee a staff of 8+ employees in the daily operations and maintenance of both water and wastewater treatment facilities, collections, distribution, meter reading and customer service-related duties.
The Project Manager will play an active role in coordination and communication with operations staff, client representatives, regulators, contractors, and any assigned engineering firms. He or she will also work closely with all parties to ensure effective system operation and optimization, staff development, implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program, administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects, and emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc. He or She will regularly prepare reports for regulators, clients, and the firm. Additionally, the Project Manager will manage the budget of the project and manage the scope and schedule of contractual obligations and serve as the main point of contact between the client and the firm. Supervision will be provided by an Area Manager; however, the Project Manager must be able to work comfortably in a self-directed environment with minimal daily supervision.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7.00am – 3.30pm. Attendance and participation in city department meetings as requested is required. Response to emergency events and alarm callouts as scheduled and required.
What would you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
Day-to-day operations and management of all water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities with a large focus on health & safety, process optimization, employee mentoring and client communications.
Day-to-day operations and management of a SCADA System and remote communications network.
Implementation and management of an innovative predictive & preventative maintenance management program.
Administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects.
Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events etc.
Provision of requested / required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality.
Participation in capital planning and asset management planning.
Collaborate and build relationships with the client.
Collaborate with engineers on future planning and ongoing construction administration.
Attend council meetings and present project update presentations.
Promote and develop staff members.
Review development plans and permits and attend pre-construction meetings.
What Will you Need to Succeed?
Must possess a valid State of Florida Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license.
Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
5 to 10 years’ experience in managing complex water and/or wastewater facilities.
Experience overseeing an annual operating budget of $1.5 million or more.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven track record with regulators.

Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.
