Summary of Role:
The Business Development Manager will drive catering and bulk order revenue by building relationships with local businesses, B2B organizations, and community partners. This role focuses on proactive outreach, account development, and creating repeat catering opportunities across the local market. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, outgoing, and comfortable spending time in the field prospecting new clients, managing existing relationships, and representing the Chip City brand within the community.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify and prospect new catering opportunities across the local market
Build relationships with businesses, offices, schools, healthcare organizations, and event planners
Generate bulk order and catering opportunities for meetings, events, holidays, and corporate gifting
Develop partnerships with:
Corporate offices and coworking spaces
Universities and schools
Hospitals and healthcare facilities
Real estate and property management companies
Event venues, festivals, and community organizations
Community Partnerships & Local Marketing
Represent Chip City at local networking events, community activations, and business gatherings
Build strategic partnerships with local businesses and organizations
Coordinate sampling opportunities to introduce Chip City products to potential clients
Work closely with store leadership to promote catering offerings in the local market
Support seasonal campaigns including holiday gifting, corporate appreciation, and large event orders
Account Management & Client Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients
Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to order execution
Prepare proposals, coordinate large orders, and ensure smooth delivery or pickup logistics
Maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
Ensure every catering experience reflects the Chip City brand and quality standards
Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
Track outreach activity, leads, and opportunities using CRM or internal sales systems
Maintain a strong and active pipeline of prospective catering clients
Provide accurate sales forecasting and performance reporting
Continuously identify new sales opportunities and growth channels within the market
Required Skills & Experience
3–7+ years of sales, catering, hospitality, or business development experience
Proven success in outside sales, B2B sales, or account management
Experience selling catering, food service, events, or hospitality services is highly preferred
Strong local networking skills and ability to build long-term relationships
Highly proactive with a hunter mentality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable with cold outreach, networking, and in-person relationship building
Strong organization and time management
Results-driven with a focus on revenue growth
Passion for hospitality and customer experience

Salary Range: $65,000–$72,000 plus commission
