Account Executive, Investment Strategy Analyst

country: US all locations: [New York, NY Washington, DC] commitment: Full-time department: location: New York, NY team: Business Development - Intelligence What You’ll Be Working On: Own the full sales cycle—from first outreach through close—within the investment strategy vertical Support pipeline development across buy-side and sell-side firms in partnership with team leadership Build relationships with CIOs, Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Strategists, and Data leaders Consistently work toward and achieve ARR targets Work with clients to identify where our data fits into their investment process, including: Consumer demand as a leading indicator Brand strength and pricing power Sector and thematic trend validation Macro sentiment tracking Political and regulatory risk Translate Morning Consult data into clear, actionable insights for investment audiences—articulating value before buyers know they need it Help clients understand the value of our data relative to other research and alternative data sources Establish Morning Consult as a credible, differentiated partner in the investment space and position our data as a complement to fundamental and quantitative strategies Share market feedback to help refine our product and go-to-market approach Partner closely with Strategy, Research, Product, and Customer Success to deliver strong client outcomes Contribute to messaging, case studies, and sales materials for the financial services vertical About You and What You’ve Done: 3+ years of experience in sales or a client-facing role (SaaS, data, finance, consulting, or similar environments) You have a background at a company whose core product is data or intelligence —you understand what it means to sell an insight-driven product and create demand where none previously existed You’re comfortable carrying or working toward a revenue target Having familiarity with buy-side and/or sell-side firms is a plus, but not required You  have a solid understanding of how alternative data informs investment research and portfolio strategy You’re comfortable engaging in conversations around macro trends, sectors, and business dynamics You have high data literacy and an ability to communicate methodology and insights credibly You’re curious, proactive, and motivated to learn in a new space You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping shape a growing business You bring a thoughtful, consultative approach to problem-solving and client conversations You have strong communication skills and can build trust with a range of stakeholders You take ownership of your work and follow through What Success Looks Like: Establish Morning Consult Intelligence as a recognized provider within the investment strategy community Build and grow a durable book of business across institutional investment clients Develop repeatable, investment-focused use cases and commercial narratives Drive meaningful ARR growth within the financial services vertical Note: We view the above section as a guide, not a checklist.
