Trucking Safety Specialist Location: Duluth, GAType: Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and proactive Safety Specialist to assist with day-to-day field operations for our trucking division. This position plays a critical role in supporting drivers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining communication across teams and vendors. Key Responsibilities: Support the development and implementation of company safety programs in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations Monitor driver compliance with HOS, ELD usage, and safety policies; escalate issues as needed Conduct routine audits, inspections, and safety checks; assist in identifying risks and implementing corrective actions Assist with accident investigations, including documentation, root cause analysis, and claims coordination Maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQF) and other compliance records accurately and in a timely manner Coordinate driver onboarding, safety orientation, and ongoing training programs Work closely with dispatch, operations, and maintenance teams to support safe fleet operations Track CSA scores and safety KPIs; support initiatives to improve safety performance Assist with DOT audits and regulatory inspections Monitor vehicle maintenance and inspection compliance, including pre- and post-trip inspections Analyze safety data and provide insights to support continuous improvement Promote and support a positive safety culture across the organization Qualifications: 1–5 years of experience in trucking safety, regulatory compliance, and/or fleet management Solid working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements Experience supporting driver safety programs, including Hours of Service (HOS), ELD systems, and CSA score monitoring and improvement Hands-on experience with accident investigations, root cause analysis, and basic claims coordination Familiarity with fleet maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance scheduling and DOT inspection requirements Ability to maintain accurate Driver Qualification Files (DQF) and safety/compliance documentation Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions in fast-paced or high-pressure situations Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with safety/compliance or fleet management systems Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support training and influence safe behaviors among drivers and staff   Offices: Duluth, Georgia, United States (Duluth, GA);
