Talent and Organizational Development Program Manager - Production

About this role

The Talent and OD Program Manager, Production provides strategy and expertise in instructional design, onboarding, manufacturing operations, and program management. This person digs into the operational process details, provides process consulting, and works with leaders to translate their technical content into user-friendly training for manufacturing leaders and hourly team members to drive performance.   The program manager will partner with HR partners and business leaders to develop and deploy tools, programs, and content to enable our teams’ performance and growth. Along with bringing the OD, process, and instructional design expertise, this person must be excellent with relationship-building, developing strategies and communications, and executing programs.    We're looking for someone who: Loves reading SOPs and translating them into engaging, high-impact training with measurable learning outcomes Is insatiably curious about operations   Is skilled at building relationships and earning key operational stakeholders’ trust  Builds thoughtful, achievable rollout plans given operational constraints Can recite key learnings about instructional design, test development, and job analyses from their I/O Psychology education Is known for conducting robust needs analyses and following ADDIE  Can engage learners with strong facilitation skills Is known for dissecting and optimizing processes Loves analyzing operational and learning data to achieve results by creating and executing high-impact action plans   Essential Responsibilities & Duties:   Conducts thorough job analyses and needs analyses to design, develop, facilitate/implement, and program-manage role-based, engaging training with observation checklists to drive performance to our SOPs, e.g., following SOPs using the extraction equipment, following our SOP to make gummies, etc.  Owns all ADDIE phases and program-manages “in context” leadership development workshops, e.g., “Managing Performance to X policy/procedure.”  Owns all ADDIE phases and program-manages a standardized, role-based  onboarding and training strategy to set new hires up for success and reduce turnover   Serves as a “gatekeeper” by collaborating with key stakeholders and prioritizing program implementations’ timing, phasing, and sequencing to manage end-user gulp rates and optimize outcomes Develops asynchronous/synchronous learning materials and programs that are engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with adult learning principles, e.g. BARS, observation checklists, train-the-trainer programs for leaders, facilitator guides, etc. Works with People team members to build role-based interview guides with BARS for scoring Partners with the Sr. Director of Talent and Organizational Development to create role-based competency models with BARS Creates Train-the-Trainer programs for site leaders, e.g., observation and feedback program   Leads adult-use conversion training for production sites by collaborating with key stakeholders to identify needs and practical implementation plans while owning all ADDIE phases  Qualifications and Skills:   Has at least a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, or related field  Has a minimum of 5 full-time years of relevant experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, and/or Talent Management in a manufacturing environment  Has experience with creating standardized onboarding programs  Has solid project management skills  Has experience leading organizational change through strong influencing and change management skills in establishing trust, credibility and building collaboration at all levels of the organization  Has experience conducting needs analyses, creating behaviorally anchored rating scales, and crafting competency models  Has experience using Articulate 360 Storyline, Captivate, iSpring Suite, and other authoring tools Has experience editing videos using Camtasia, ClipChamp, or other similar software Has a passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement  Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to visit sites    Preferred Qualifications:   Master’s degree in industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred.  Has a minimum of 8+ full-time years of relevant experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, and/or Talent Management in a manufacturing environment preferred  Additional Requirements    Must pass any and all required background checks    Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry    Must possess valid driver’s license   Must be a minimum of 21 years of age   Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry     The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. Green Thumb Pay Range$105,000—$125,000 USD Offices: Remote (Remote);
