Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities (Sales-Focused)
Drive new business development in logistics services (Air & Ocean freight)
Prospect, qualify, and close new customer accounts
Actively sell:
Air freight (Import & Export)
Ocean freight (FCL / LCL – Import & Export)
Prepare and present competitive logistics proposals and quotations.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Conduct regular field visits to clients, plants, and prospects.
Identify customer needs and propose tailored logistics solutions.
Collaborate with pricing, operations, and product teams to secure business.
Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer behavior.
Achieve and exceed sales targets while ensuring profitable margins.
Required Experience & Background:
Commercial Experience (Mandatory)
Minimum 2 + years in B2B sales within a Freight Forwarder or Logistics.
Proven experience in:
Prospecting and closing new business.
Managing long sales cycles.
Handling corporate clients.
Strong track record in achieving revenue and margin targets.
Industry & Technical Knowledge
Solid understanding of:
Air freight and ocean freight operations.
Import & export processes.
International logistics solutions.
Knowledge of:
Incoterms 2020
Customs procedures in Mexico:
SAT regulations
Pedimentos
NOM compliance
Ability to build and quote solutions including:
FCL / LCL shipments
Air freight services
Understanding of:
Transit times & routing
Carrier selection
Cost structures (freight, surcharges, duties, local charges)
Mobility & Availability
Willingness to travel frequently across the Bajío region
Strong availability for:
Client visits
Plant visits
Industry events
Field sales role – constant client interaction is expected
Valid driver’s license
Own vehicle required (company provides car allowance)
