About This Role Care Team Manager (Medical Assistant) exists to lead and support Medical Assistants while ensuring workflows run smoothly and care is delivered efficiently, accurately, and with compassion. This role serves as a critical bridge between care teams and operations—helping create a seamless, organized, and high-quality experience for every member. In this role, you will: Lead and develop a team of Medical Assistants, providing real-time support, coaching, and guidancePartner closely with providers and care teams to ensure coordinated, efficient, and patient-centered careHelp keep care delivery running smoothly by identifying gaps, removing friction, and improving workflowsDirectly impact member experience by ensuring care is timely, accurate, and easy to navigate This is a hands-on role for someone who: Enjoys developing people and helping teams stay organized and effectiveThrives in a fast-paced, evolving, and highly collaborative environmentIs comfortable balancing day-to-day team support with process improvement and problem-solvingTakes ownership and follows throughWants their work to make a meaningful impact on both team performance and member care What You’ll Do In this role, you will: Lead and develop Medical Assistants through hiring, training, coaching, and ongoing supportCoordinate care by partnering with providers, case managers, and care teams to ensure a seamless member experienceOptimize operations by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutionsStandardize workflows, SOPs, and documentation practices to improve consistency and qualitySupport escalations by stepping in on complex or sensitive cases requiring leadership oversightDrive accountability by monitoring performance metrics and ensuring consistent team outputCollaborate with Claims, Care Logistics, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams A strong performer in this role is known for: Leading with empathy while holding high standardsSimplifying complexity and removing barriers for both team members and patientsUsing data to inform decisions while staying focused on peopleConsistently improving team performance and care delivery How Success Is Measured Success in this role is measured by: Team performance, engagement, and development of Medical AssistantsConsistency and quality of care support delivered to membersImprovements in workflow efficiency and operational effectivenessTimely resolution of escalations and complex casesEffective collaboration across clinical and operational teams What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required3+ years of experience in a medical setting2+ years of leadership or supervisory experienceProven ability to coach, develop, and lead teamsStrong understanding of clinical workflows and patient coordinationExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsComfortable working in a remote, tech-enabled environmentA people-first mindset with a passion for helping othersMust be based in the Phoenix, AZ area or able to reliably commute to an in-person work environment.
