What you will do: The Commercial Designated Managing Broker will be responsible for the successful administration of eXp Commercial Brokerage operations in their state. In supporting our agents in the delivery of exceptional real estate brokerage service to their clients, this position will be accountable for all operational elements necessary to comply with  individual state license laws, along with the transaction review process, compliance training, and the eXp Risk Management program.  This person will have an exceptional track record as a supervising real estate broker of a medium to large firm, an understanding of commercial real estate brokerage at a state level, an aptitude for leading and inspiring teams, a collaborative approach, and a boundless work ethic.  They must be a “people person” but also possess the ability to implement systems and processes. As a key participant on the eXp Commercial state leadership team, the  Commercial Designated Managing Broker ensures that eXp Commercial delivers exceptional brokerage support to agents in their representation of clients and customersActs in the capacity of the state Principal BrokerConducts training to enhance agent’s knowledge and understanding of contract, risk management, licensing and state real estate lawsPromptly responds to agents request for assistanceEffectively consults and engages with eXp commercial agents and others in problem-solving of matters associated with difficult or complex transaction issuesPerforms contract review and approvals to ensure legal and contractual compliance of transactionsResponsible for the administration and management of eXp’s State Trust Account according to state law (if one is required)Collaborates with the  Director of Commercial Brokerage Operations,  the Regional Operations Manager, and  eXp’s legal department to ensure that eXp Commercial’s state brokerage operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations including state license lawMonitors state performance goals and enforces accountability for their achievementEnsures the implementation of the eXp Risk Management Program and valued risk management tools to eXp Commercial AgentsMust be able to defend our company position at the state level in the event of a Real Estate Commission complaint or Board complaintManages and implements the ongoing enhancement of and compliance with company-wide and individual state commercial brokerage operations manualsSupports innovation in how the company can efficiently support its growing state agent base in terms of brokerage operationsSupports the Managing Broker(s)(if applicable) by positively engaging with prospective agents who are interested in joining eXp CommercialWorks hand-in-hand with the Managing Brokers (if applicable) for the overall success of eXp Commercial in their stateMediates issues between eXp Commercial agents within the state when requiredMonthly goals, expectations and objectivesCoordinates distribution of inbound mailSuch other duties as may be assigned How you will grab our attention: Live in and maintain an active real estate broker license in the state of North Carolina and South Carolina with continuing education credits in real estate, management, and legal complianceA keen interest in and high-level experience in commercial real estate compliance activities including a deep knowledge and understanding of legal obligations of real estate professionals under the state and federal law, Department of Commerce Rules & RegulationsProven track record of managing a large commercial brokerage firm, specifically from operations or a compliance perspectiveExcellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organizationHighly collaborative and capable of working with internal partners to facilitate successful resultsAbility to make quick decisions and solve problems using solid judgmentSkyslope experience strongly preferredPossess the highest degree of ethics and integrityWillingness and ability to travel within the stateBA/BS strongly preferredHigh School Diploma/GED requiredTypically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience What eXp Realty provides: Work from AnywhereFlexible Time Off for Salaried Employees401k with 4% match (immediate vesting)Robust Medical, Dental, & Vision benefitsCompany provided equipmentMonthly Technology StipendFSA & HSA with employer contributionsHealth & Wellness incentives100% Paid Parental Leave If you think you'd make a great match for this position but don't meet all the requirements, we would still encourage you to apply!
