About The Job We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer in Austin to help us build our technology products alongside a growing engineering team who are passionate about delivering software we are proud of while having fun along the way. A qualified candidate should have experience as a front-end software engineer developing sleek, highly functional, consumer-facing web apps, and want to have a meaningful impact at an early-stage technology company. Job Requirements 5+ years of experience with Vue.js (preferably including Vue 3 and modern Vue paradigms). Other framework experience considered if you’re comfortable building reactive UIs and interested in becoming fluent in Vue5+ years of experience with custom web application developmentYou are passionate and curious about your craft, excited to work in an energetic environment, and mindful of the balance between detail and deliveryA creative and efficient problem solver who isn’t stopped when the way forward isn’t always pavedAttention to detail and an understanding of what makes a great user experienceAbility to work well with the Product team to iterate on designs and user experience flowsAuthor reusable, testable code that drives efficiency by building with the experience of both the end user and your teammates in mindSelf-directed with a strong bias towards action and thrives in an ambiguous environment that is ripe for disruptionOpen to mentorship opportunities Technical Preferences Deep familiarity with Vue or another modern, reactive front-end libraryExperience with Pinia or an equivalent front-end state management toolExperience with front-end testing (we use Vitest and Vue Testing Library)Experience building consumer-facing front-end single page appsStrong HTML, CSS, and JS fundamentalsComfort with version control systems such as gitFamiliar with JS build tools such as npm and viteDiscipline for using AI as an assistant, not a replacement, for human-authored and human-understood codeBonus points for familiarity  with PHP, Laravel, jQuery, or working in a mixed SPA/MPA codebaseAbility to consider alternative approaches and select a best fit for a given situationDemonstrated success in modernizing legacy applications with current front-end best practices, patterns, and technologies What You Will Do Own portions of the front-end development at Closinglock, including working with Product and Designers on UI concepts and implementing them.Work with other highly skilled front-end engineers to create a cohesive customer experience throughout the Closinglock ecosystemEngender a culture of documentation, collaboration, and best practices.Consult on efforts regarding feature requests, feedback, and future product development for the business.Work directly with engineering leadership to continue establishing a maintainable, testable, and elegant code base.
