Position Description: As an Integration Engineer at FlexGen, you will support the configuration, validation, and deployment of HybridOS software for utility-scale energy storage projects. Working alongside senior engineers, you will assist in integrating energy storage assets with customer requirements, validating system functionality, and supporting commissioning efforts in field and test environments Major Job Responsibilities: Support the integration and validation of energy storage project-based software configurations against customer and project requirementsAssist in configuring and troubleshooting industrial communications, including Modbus (TCP/RTU), DNP3, and related network infrastructure for energy storage systemsDevelop and execute structured test plans to verify system functionality, safety, and reliabilityValidate integrated software features within automated test platforms and hardware-in-the-loop environmentsSupport project design engineering, system integration, execution, and commissioning activitiesRead and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, mechanical drawings, and network diagrams to support integration activitiesAssist with configuration and validation of field assets such as batteries, power converters, meters, and protective relaysUtilize electrical test equipment to support system verification and troubleshooting effortsCollaborate effectively within a fast-paced, cross-functional team to deliver high-quality solutions; Assist Software PODs with integration-related development efforts, including configuration tooling, automation enhancements, and deployment support Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldFoundational understanding of three-phase power system principles, including voltage/frequency behavior and grid stability conceptsBasic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN configuration, and cybersecurity best practicesAbility to utilize AI-driven tools and workflows to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve overall performanceFamiliarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and DNP3Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think independently in a dynamic work environmentWillingness to support field commissioning and testing activities as needed FlexGen provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
