Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting electronic/electrical/electromechanical Technologist(s) to join our production team as Production Support Technologist to join our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Office.
The Production Support Technologist will be responsible for the daily activities in their work area for our Subsea Battery Systems (https://www.krakenrobotics.com/products/seapower/ ).
The ideal candidate(s) will have hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, innovations, continuous improvement and teamwork. A collaborate mindset and the ability to training others and maintain an organized, high-functioning workspace are essential for success in this role.
The successful applicant(s) will have an opportunity to work in our brand-new facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and assist in the setup of the manufacturing area!
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical integration of components according to schematics, drawing and assembly instructionsAssemble, test, troubleshoot and repair various assembliesUse of a variety of hand and power tools for daily assembly and maintenance tasksTraining and cross-training of production employees Conduct and record various quality and test resultsCreate and edit production documentation such as build logs, work instructions and inspection reportsKeep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenancePrepare and install embedded programming codesResolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resourcesEnsure work is prepared for the next work order (get part lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials needed)Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Diploma in Engineering Technology, or other Technical Diploma with experience2–3 years of hands-on experience in Electrical, Electronic, or Electromechanical engineering or technologyProficient with electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electronic loadsAble to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a production teamPhysically able to lift and handle components up to 50 lbsStrong written and verbal communications skills
