Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Payroll & People Analytics Coordinator to join our team in Mount Pearl, NL.
This role sits at the intersection of People & Culture (P&C) operations and data, ensuring employees are paid correctly, group benefits programs and other perks run smoothly, and leadership has access to meaningful workforce analytics to support decision-making.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
Support end-to-end global payroll on a regular cycle of semi-monthly across North Americal and monthly across the United KingdomEnsure payroll accuracy, including salaries and statutory deductionsMaintain payroll records and ensure compliance with local tax and employment regulationsLiaise with external payroll providers and internal finance teamsSupport audits and reporting requirements
Benefits Administration
Support the employee benefits programs (health, retirement, insurance, wellness)Support employee enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefits systemsAct as a point of contact for employee benefit inquiriesCoordinate with brokers and vendors to ensure smooth service deliverySupport benefits renewals and benchmarkingAdminister the employee perks and discount programs
People Analytics & Reporting
Maintain and analyze People & Culture data (headcount, turnover, compensation, absenteeism)Build and maintain dashboards and regular reports for leadership Identify trends and provide actionable insights to improve employee experience and retentionEnsure data integrity across HRIS and payroll systems
Compliance & Process Improvement
Ensure compliance with employment standards, tax laws, and internal policiesMaintain documentation of payroll and benefits processesIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve data accuracySupport P&C projects and system implementations
Qualifications and Experience:
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience in payroll, benefits, P&C operations, data analytics or similar rolePost secondary diploma or degree in business administration, accounting, finance, analytics or a related field.Strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirementsExperience administering employee benefits programsProficiency in HRIS and payroll systemsAdvanced skills in Microsoft 365; experience with data visualization tools is a plusHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationExceptional communication skillsAnalytical mindset with an ability to see trends and provide insights in complex data sets
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multi-country payrollKnowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Certification in payroll or Human Resources (e.g., PCP, CPP, CIPD)Experience in a fast-paced or scaling organization
