Job Title Tax Analyst Location Remote Time Zone EST (Eastern Standard Time) – Strictly Required Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Analyst to lead US tax compliance, planning, and advisory functions for our growing organization. This is a high-impact role requiring deep expertise in federal and multi-state US tax law. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical foundation, capable of managing complex tax matters while ensuring compliance in a fast-paced, remote environment. Key Responsibilities - Oversee and manage all aspects of US federal, state, and local tax compliance, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings - Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's overall tax position - Provide expert guidance on the tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and corporate structures - Lead the tax provision process (ASC 740) and coordinate with external auditors during financial reviews - Monitor and interpret changes in US tax legislation and assess the impact on business operations - Manage relationships with external tax advisors, consultants, and regulatory agencies - Oversee and respond to federal and state tax audits, notices, and inquiries - Partner with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to support M&A, restructuring, and strategic business initiatives - Build, mentor, and develop junior tax team members Required Qualifications - In-depth knowledge of US federal, state, and local tax law — non-negotiable - Demonstrated experience managing tax compliance and planning in a corporate or public accounting environment - Hands-on experience with ASC 740 income tax provision and reporting - CPA designation required; advanced degree in Taxation or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred - Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal English communication; must be comfortable advising and presenting to executive stakeholders - Must have prior remote work experience, be proficient with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, or similar), and have worked with US-based companies. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a multi-entity or multi-state corporate structure - Exposure to international tax matters and transfer pricing - Background in supporting tax diligence for M&A transactions - Experience with tax technology platforms (e.g., Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Vertex, or similar) Tools & Technology - Tax compliance and research software (e.g., Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg Tax) - ERP and accounting platforms (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) - Google Workspace - Slack, Zoom, and other remote collaboration tools Please NOTE It is crucial that you complete the application form in full.
