We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on Development Manager to lead and scale our Syncrofy engineering team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who likes to lead, build teams and operates at an architect level, while still actively contributing to code and driving execution.
You will own the development process, technical direction, system health, and delivery of roadmap initiatives, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup or small company environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is passionate about building both products and teams.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the development team setting development standards while remaining deeply hands-on in coding and architectureOwn the end-to-end development lifecycle, from design through delivery and iterationDrive execution of product roadmap items, ensuring timely and high-quality releasesOversee ongoing system maintenance, stability, and performance, including:Bug fixes and issue resolutionContinuous improvements and enhancementsProactive monitoring and technical debt management
Define and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processesArchitect scalable, reliable, and secure systemsCollaborate cross-functionally with product, leadership, and stakeholdersMentor and grow engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellencePartner with customers and internal stakeholders to support:Proof of Concepts (POCs)Proofs of Technology (POTs)Technical validation and solution design efforts
Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI in:Development productivity (e.g., tooling, automation)Product capabilities and innovation
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in a Development Manager, Tech Lead, or Principal/Staff Engineer roleStrong hands-on coding experience and ability to contribute regularly to the codebaseArchitect-level understanding of distributed systems and modern application designExpertise in:Java & JavaScriptDocker & KubernetesLinuxMongoDBElasticSearch (ELK)ArangoDBDevOps and CI/CDAI and Automation
Experience owning and delivering complex technical projects end-to-endStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologiesExcellent problem-solving and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and/or Supply Chain systemsBackground in startup or high-growth environmentsExperience integrating or working with AI/ML tools and technologiesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, GCP, or Azure)
