Cloud Solution Architect

Summary The role of the experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to design, lead, and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to define cloud architectures that support application modernization, data platforms, and enterprise integrations across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.  The ideal candidate has strong hands-on cloud experience, deep architectural knowledge, and the ability to guide cloud strategy from design through implementation.  We're anticipating future openings and are connecting now with great talent who'd like to be considered when the time comes. Responsibilities  Cloud Architecture & Design  Design end-to-end cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements  Define cloud reference architectures, patterns, and best practices  Lead solution design for cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments  Evaluate cloud services and recommend optimal designs for performance, security, and cost  Cloud Migration & Modernization  Architect and support application and data migrations to the cloud  Guide modernization initiatives including re-hosting, re-platforming, and re-architecting  Design solutions leveraging cloud-native services such as containers, serverless, and managed platforms  Security, Governance & Reliability  Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards  Design for high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency  Partner with security teams on identity, access management, and data protection  Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration  Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designs  Participate in architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and delivery planning  Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and roadmaps to technical and executive audiences    Required Qualifications  8+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or solution architecture  4+ years of hands-on experience architecting solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP  Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and platform services  Experience with application architecture, integration patterns, and APIs  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills    Preferred Qualifications  Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)  Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines  Knowledge of data platforms, analytics, or integration middleware  Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent)    Technical Skills  Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP  Compute & platform services: VMs, containers, serverless  Networking: VPC/VNet, load balancing, connectivity  Security: IAM, encryption, network security  Architecture documentation and modeling tools    Soft Skills  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities  Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions  Confident presenter with executive-level communication skills  Collaborative, outcome-driven mindset    Location Requirements This role is a remote role.  To be considered for this position, candidates must reside in one of the following U.S. states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WI, and Washington DC. The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting.
