You’ll be responsible for planning work, leading safety on site, and ensuring every job is done efficiently, professionally, and safely. You must hold ISA Arborist Certification and at least one of the following: TRAQ CertificationUtility Arborist Certification   Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and supervise your crew on job sitesPerform expert pruning and tree removalSafely operate and maintain aerial lifts, chippers, saws, ropes, and rigging equipmentPlan work and communicate job plans before starting each taskComplete crew timecards and required safety documentationLead daily safety talks and conduct equipment inspectionsEnsure safe work practices and emergency procedures are followedRepresent Horizon professionally when in uniform and provide excellent customer service   What You Bring Certifications & Education Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Air Brakes an asset)Certified Faller or Faller EndorsementISA Arborist Certification (required)TRAQ or Utility Certification (at least one required)TCP, horticulture, or related education (assets) Experience 1+ year of supervisory or crew leadership experienceStrong experience with tree pruning and removalsComfortable climbing (spurred and spur-less)Skilled in ropes, rigging, lift trucks, and chipper operationExperience working in outdoor, physical, fast-paced environments Skills Strong leadership and communication skillsMechanically inclined with troubleshooting abilitySafety-focused mindsetComfortable using iPads and Microsoft Outlook/OfficeTeam-oriented with strong customer service skills   Physical & Work Environment This is a 100% field-based role requiring heavy physical work, including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, bending, and standing for long periods.
