Labourer - Watering Crew

Watering Crew Member Seasonal – Part Time/Full Time At Horizon Contracting Group, we help landscapes thrive from the ground up. We’re looking for reliable, hardworking Watering Crew Members to join our seasonal team and support watering operations throughout the busy spring and summer season. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes safety seriously, and works well as part of a team. The season typically begins in April/May and runs through September/October, depending on weather and operational needs. This year we will have openings throughout June and the rest of the summer into the fall.   What You’ll Do Safely complete assigned watering route dutiesWork closely with your Crew Lead to complete routes efficiently and on scheduleHelp maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked truck and equipment setupCommunicate with supervisors and the administration team as requiredParticipate in safety meetings and follow all safety proceduresWear required PPE at all timesAssist with safe road and lane closures when requiredReport all near misses, incidents, or accidents immediately   What You’ll Bring Class 5 or N driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstractExperience driving larger vehicles is an assetComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsStrong communication and teamwork skillsBasic technology skills including iPads and Excel are assetsStrong navigation and map-reading skillsMechanical aptitude with pumps or small engines is an assetAbility to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding workAvailability to work Saturdays Supervisory experience and industry-related education are considered assets.   Work Environment & Schedule 100% outdoor role in varying weather conditions including heat, rain, wind, and coldPhysically active role requiring frequent entering/exiting of vehicles, lifting, walking, crouching, and standingSchedule consists of 10-hour shifts between Monday and SaturdaySeasonal role running through September/October   Our Core Values Embrace the Challenge We take on complex work and push for better Lead with Care We support our people and build strong relationships Own Our Actions We take responsibility and deliver results Strongest Together We succeed as a team   The Horizon Journey At Horizon, we believe in promoting from within and creating opportunities for growth.
