Position Summary:
The Senior Pre-Sales Consultant (Cybersecurity) is a strategic, customer-facing role responsible for driving solution design and technical sales across enterprise security engagements. This role requires a strong blend of cybersecurity expertise, presales experience, and consultative problem-solving to translate complex customer requirements into scalable, multi-layered security architectures. You will work closely with sales, OEMs, and delivery teams to enable deal success, influence customer decisions, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is hands-on, business-aware, and capable of engaging stakeholders across technical and leadership levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical discovery and customer engagements to understand security challenges and requirements
Design and present end-to-end cybersecurity solutions across SIEM, SOAR, XDR, NDR, SSE, NAC, WAF, and SOC services
Deliver technical demos, workshops, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate solutions and drive deal progression
Develop technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), HLDs/LLDs, and solution documentation
Support SOC and managed security services pre-sales including use-case design, onboarding models, and SLA definition
Collaborate with sales, OEM partners, and delivery teams to align solutions with customer needs and business goals
Drive RFP/RFI responses, competitive positioning, and solution differentiation in complex deals
Act as a trusted advisor to customers by recommending best practices and guiding security transformation initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Networking, or related field
6–13 years of experience in cybersecurity pre-sales, solution architecture, or security consulting roles
Strong experience across SIEM, SOAR, XDR, NDR, NAC, WAF, SSE, SOC operations, and managed security services
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN
Proven experience in designing security architectures, delivering PoCs, and conducting customer workshops
Experience in handling RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, and end-to-end presales lifecycle
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, Security+, CySA+, or OEM certifications (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Splunk, Elastic)
Experience working with MSSPs, cybersecurity consulting firms, or OEM presales teams
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS
Experience designing SOC architectures, detection use cases, or managed security service models
Exposure to multi-vendor security environments and integration of diverse security technologies
Experience engaging with CXO-level stakeholders and influencing strategic security decisions
Ability to mentor junior presales team members and contribute to sales enablement initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with focus on customer outcomes
