Location: Cambridge, MA Travel: Up to 40% — commensurate with portfolio demands Compensation: $250,000 – $375,000 annually + 20% bonus + equity The Role We're looking for a Managing Director, Digital Transformation to build and lead an elite practice embedded directly within the operations of our Strategic Accounts. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has spent their career at the intersection of enterprise technology and strategic business impact. In this role, you'll own solutions delivery, build a team of specialist engineers, and hold executive relationships at the CTO level and below across the enterprise. You are as comfortable in a boardroom presenting a transformation roadmap as you are in a sprint review holding engineers accountable to delivery standards. Work Arrangement: Hybrid structure balancing time between client sites and HQ1 in Kendall Square. Moderate travel required to support key account relationships across the portfolio. What Success Looks Like You own a portfolio of Strategic Accounts where our FDE team is viewed as an indispensable strategic partnerYou scale our Forward Deployed Engineering practice are delivering against commitments, on scope, with high client satisfaction across every active engagementYou are the trusted technical advisor in the room when enterprise CTOs make consequential platform decisionsYou have built a culture of excellence on your team — high standards, clear accountability, strong retentionYou identify expansion opportunities within accounts and convert them, growing the scope and impact of the FDE functionYou translate field intelligence into product influence, ensuring our roadmap reflects what matters most to enterprise buyersYou operate the function like a business — with clear KPIs, structured delivery frameworks, and a point of view on where to invest next What You'll Do Executive Client Leadership Own and grow senior relationships across a portfolio of Fortune 100 accounts, engaging at the CTO, CIO, and VP Engineering levelLead executive business reviews, C-suite presentations, and board-level briefings that translate technical progress into business outcomesShape digital transformation roadmaps alongside client leadership — bringing our platform's capabilities to bear on their highest-priority challengesIdentify and develop account expansion opportunities; support pre-sales efforts for new enterprise engagements Forward Deployed Engineering Ownership Lead, manage, and develop a team of forward deployed engineers embedded across client environmentsSet and enforce standards for project delivery, engineering quality, and client engagement across all active accountsServe as the senior technical escalation point — able to engage hands-on when complex integration or delivery challenges ariseBalance multiple concurrent enterprise engagements, ensuring each is appropriately resourced, scoped, and governed Strategic & Organizational Impact Partner with Product, Sales, and executive leadership to define the strategy and expansion of the FDE functionEstablish delivery frameworks, KPIs, and feedback loops that drive continuous improvement across the practiceRecruit, develop, and retain senior engineering talent — building a team culture defined by technical excellence and client accountabilityContribute to go-to-market strategy, thought leadership, and the development of reusable delivery assets and IP Required Experience 15+ years of progressive experience spanning enterprise technology consulting, software engineering leadership, and senior client managementBackground at a Big 4 firm or equivalent elite technology consultancy strongly preferredDemonstrated track record leading complex digital transformation programs for Fortune 500 / Fortune 100 organizationsBroad fluency across the modern enterprise technology stack — cloud infrastructure, data platforms, APIs, microservices, AI/ML, and enterprise integrationProven ability to engage credibly from the engineering level up to the C-suite — technically grounded, strategically mindedExperience managing and developing high-performing technical teams in client-facing, outcome-driven environmentsStrong commercial instincts — skilled at framing value, managing scope, and converting relationships into long-term partnerships What Makes You Stand Out Prior experience in a Forward Deployed Engineering, embedded consulting, or technical account leadership capacityHands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, developer tooling, or enterprise digital transformation at scaleTrack record of building and scaling consulting or professional services practices from the ground upHistory of operating effectively in high-growth, ambiguous startup or scale-up environments alongside enterprise rigorExecutive presence and communication style that earns trust at the first meeting and deepens it over time Our Culture Who we are: Led by two pioneering co-founders we are one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S., creating our own category of enterprise autonomous software development.
