What You’ll Get to Do The Estimator II is focused on our US Aluminum product lines including storefronts, entrances, window walls, curtain walls, and hurricane/blast-resistant solutions. This role is perfect for an individual who is organized, a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, and prioritize workload.  A vital member of the Estimating Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. This role will be working onsite in Waxahachie, TX. Job responsibilities include: Provide detailed estimates to our customers in a timely manner.  Work from architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs Follow up on estimates and provide feedback concerning market pricing levels Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to our customers, sales force and internal personnel Maintain detailed and organized records of bid documents, correspondence and other project specific information Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job What We Are Looking For Minimum of 5 years prior experience estimating mid-size and larger glazing projects from architectural drawings and specifications Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications and provide detailed take offs and estimates that incorporate different building envelope solutions Experience using electronic estimating tools, including estimating software, on-screen take-off tools and Excel spread sheets.  Knowledge of aluminum glazing systems & their applications Understanding of glass, composite metal panels, and other infill options as well as their applications What OBE Offers You Benefits that benefit you – industry competitive https://obe.com/careers/ at the lowest cost to the employee Work-life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can choose Compensation that rewards your hard work – A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonuses Training – We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed https://www.obe.com/privacy-policy OBE will not discharge or discriminate against employees or applicants for discussing, disclosing, or inquiring about their own or others' pay.       Offices: (US);
