Position Scope EnerVenue is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer with strong leadership skills who is highly organized, detail oriented and a great communicator. You will lead a team of engineers responsible for the execution of Research and Development projects. You will interface with external vendors and cross-functional teams company-wide to keep projects on track and in line with company goals. You will apply solid engineering fundamentals, knowledge of the product, material science and manufacturing processes to guide projects towards a favorable outcome for the company. Project status and results will be communicated clearly and concisely to the relevant team leaders within the company in a regular and punctual manner. We offer competitive compensation, friendly atmosphere, and more!   Responsibilities   Produce and maintain engineering documentation for the product including CAD files, drawings, specifications and procedures Optimize procedures and tooling for the assembly of Nickel Hydrogen batteries to improve reliability and reduce part costWork with vendors to improve the manufacturability of battery components and increase reliabilityDevelop specifications and test procedures for validating new vendors and parts, ensuring that component and subassemblies meet performance requirementsConduct failure mode analysis to identify root causes and generate novel solutionsConduct research on new materials or product manufacturing processes or techniques to improve existing products or develop new onesDrive cross-functional collaboration between R&D and other departments Experience and Education Requirements 5+ years of experience in the design, development, and qualification of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, composites, and/or energy storage systemsBatchelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Extensive experience using CAD and GDT to produce production-oriented 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical parts and assembliesExperience using PLM tools and workflows to maintain engineering documentationFamiliarity with material science and the appropriate material specificationsKnowledge of industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, and automationExperience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM).Proven track record of product development in a fast-paced environment.Ability to interact effectively with suppliers, partners, vendors, and colleagues.Strong leadership skills to organize and delegate tasks within a group of engineersStrong written and oral communication with fluency in both English and Mandarin Locations: Changzhou, China
