Job Summary Seeking a Cloud System Administrator to perform in a cloud environment platform, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable the execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructureThe ideal candidate will support a team that ensures day-to-day operations stability, provides customer support, as well as knowledge in technical and troubleshooting repair expertiseThe ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment who is self-motivated and proactively completes tasks with strong attention to detailThis is an evening or mid shift position and candidate is expected to provide Tier 1 through 3 support Primary Responsibilities Administer and maintain cloud environments, including compute, storage, networking, and identity servicesProvision, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud resources to ensure high availability and performanceImplement and manage access controls, including IAM roles, RBAC, MFA, and privileged access managementSupport cloud security best practices, including patching, vulnerability remediation, logging, and incident responseMaintain system documentation, configuration baselines, and change management processesSupport backup, recovery, and continuity operations for cloud-hosted systemsCoordinate with cybersecurity, network, and engineering teams to support system integration and modernization efforts Required Qualifications Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph7 years of experience RedHat/CentOS command line7 years of experience Linux/Unix networking (nmap, tcpdump, firewalls)7 years of experience RedHat/CentOS kickstart/provisioning (Setting it up)2+ years of experience RedHat DNS Administration (DNS, hosts files, DHCP)Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.8570 IAT Level I or higher (preferably Security+) is required and must be obtained prior to startingOne of the following certifications are required:AWS DevOps Engineer ProfessionalCDP Administrator - Private Cloud BaseCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Possession of a Cloud Certification and 8570 certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer processStrong background in troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environmentAdditional knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop and scripting experience such as python and bash Desired Qualifications Experience with Prometheus, JIRA, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Virtualization, Salt/ Ansible, Grafana, Openstack and AWS Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans.
