Job Summary
Seeking a Data Scientist to support mission-focused data analysis and processing by developing data-driven solutions that enable optimization, automation, and enhanced collection workflowsThis role requires strong technical proficiency in data manipulation, API integration, and Python-based analytics, with the opportunity to apply or develop AI/ML techniques within operational environmentsCandidates with strong data science fundamentals will be supported with training in mission-specific AI/ML applications as needed
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement data-driven solutions to support optimization, automation, and collection processingInteract with and integrate APIs to retrieve, process, and analyze data from multiple sourcesBuild and maintain tools and scripts for data ingestion, transformation, and analysisPerform data manipulation and aggregation using Python (Pandas DataFrames)Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insightsDevelop and support data pipelines and workflows to enable efficient data processingCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission requirements and evolving prioritiesDocument data processes, methodologies, and analytic findings
Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)Master’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the positionStrong proficiency in Python, including experience with Pandas for data manipulation and aggregationExperience working with APIs (reading, using, and building integrations for data retrieval)Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysisStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment
Desired Qualifications
Experience applying AI/ML techniques for optimization, automation, or data processing (training can be provided for strong candidates)Experience with data visualization tools, such as Plotly, Shapely, or GeoPandasFamiliarity with XKEYSCORE (XKS) / Data Exchange (DX) and understanding of data flow conceptsExperience with Splunk, SQL, Elasticsearch, Kibana, or networking fundamentals
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
