Job Summary
Seeking a Data/Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical environment by designing, integrating, and sustaining secure, compliant dataflow and system solutionsThis role combines systems engineering, data engineering, and compliance expertise to enable reliable data ingestion, transformation, and routing across enterprise platformsThe engineer provides technical direction across the full systems engineering lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with legal, policy, and compliance directives while supporting evolving mission data requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Plan, design, and integrate secure, compliant dataflow solutions aligned with legal, policy, and mission directivesProvide technical leadership across the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and sustainmentDefine system interfaces, including data origination, destination, stimulus, and data characteristicsDevelop and implement data engineering solutions to support ingestion, transformation, and routing of enterprise dataAnalyze and work with IC-provided datasets to identify, map, and model data transformation routinesDocument and maintain data flows, routing logic, and system interfaces to support enterprise data repositoriesUtilize tools such as Apache NiFi to support data ingestion, processing, and workflow automationWork within Linux environments to develop, deploy, and maintain data solutionsInteract with data ontologies and schemas, including structured data formats such as XML, CSV, and JSONExecute analytic queries and support data analysis across enterprise platformsEnsure solutions align with policy, compliance, and data governance requirements
Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)Bachelor's Degree with 20 years' experienceExperience planning and integrating secure, compliant systems and dataflow solutionsStrong background in data engineering and systems engineering principlesExperience defining and documenting system interfaces and data flowsProficiency with Apache NiFi or similar dataflow toolsExperience working in Linux environmentsExperience working with structured data formats (XML, CSV, JSON)Experience with database technologies (MySQL and/or NoSQL)Experience performing data mapping, transformation, and ingestionStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Intelligence Community (IC) data environments and datasets
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
