Job Summary
Seeking a Software Test Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated and manual tests for web-based applications to ensure functionality, performance, and reliabilityThis role supports the delivery of high-quality software by identifying defects, validating system behavior, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes within an Agile development environment
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applicationsExecute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality, performance, and usabilityIdentify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with developers to support resolutionDevelop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data aligned to requirementsParticipate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecyclePerform regression, integration, and system testing to ensure stability across releasesSupport continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated testsAnalyze test results and provide clear reporting on system quality and risks
Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope PolygraphTwenty (20) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is requiredBachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFour (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degreeUnderstanding of how to construct Gherkin to capture the desired behavior of a systemAbility to develop and maintain automated test casesAbility to analyze and interpret test resultsAbility to identify, analyze, and resolve automation issuesAbility to occasionally perform manual test verificationAbility to participate in cross-disciplinary teamsStrong teamwork and communication skills for coordination with teammates in building automation frameworks
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of test automation tools or willingness to learn (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium)Experience writing tests in programming languages or willingness to learn (e.g., Python, Java)Understanding of web technologies or willingness to learn (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL)Experience designing and implementing automated systems to perform software testingExperience identifying and replicating errors in automation scriptsExperience planning, executing, and analyzing test data to verify the performance and efficiency of system
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
