Job Summary
The Software Engineer will join an established Streaming Analytics team, contributing to the development and enhancement of data-driven applications using Java as the primary programming languageThis role supports a mature, Agile-based development environment, where engineers collaborate to deliver scalable, high-performance analytics capabilitiesThe position offers ad hoc telework flexibility based on current sprint priorities and tasking requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications supporting streaming analytics solutionsCollaborate within an Agile development team to plan, track, and execute sprint tasks and deliverablesDevelop and optimize data processing and analytics capabilities for performance and scalabilityParticipate in requirements analysis, design discussions, and code reviewsTroubleshoot and resolve application and system-level issues in a complex environmentContribute to integration, testing, and deployment activities across development cyclesMaintain clear documentation of code, processes, and system functionalityAdapt to evolving priorities and support tasking based on sprint needs, including limited telework as appropriate
Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope PolygraphTwenty (20) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of a similar scope, type and complexity is requiredBachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFour (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degreeActive TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph requiredFamiliar with Gitlab, Maven, Confluence and JIRADebugging and testing software programsDevelopment of software applications
Desired Qualifications
Understanding of AWS and cloud environment/infrastructureIn depth and strong experience with LINUXNiFi Dataflow experience with custom processors, creating and/or leveraging existing onesTroubleshooting data fail points including minimizing latencyJava, Python, and ScriptingFamiliarity with containers and container orchestration systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
