Job Summary
Seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the delivery of a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates microservices within a modernized operational systemThis role focuses on automating infrastructure, optimizing system performance, and ensuring secure, compliant operations within a cloud-based environmentThe engineer will work in a collaborative, team-oriented setting to enable continuous integration and delivery of mission-critical capabilities, primarily within a SCIF environment
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resourcesCreate scripts and automation solutions using Python and other scripting languages to streamline operations and improve efficiencyManage and maintain RHEL systems, including patching, hardening, and ensuring compliance with security requirementsInstall, configure, and optimize container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker ComposeSupport data flow and processing tools such as NiFi and integrate with cloud-native logging and monitoring solutionsBuild, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab runners and Argo CD to automate build, test, and deployment processesAdminister and support AWS cloud environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliabilityImplement and maintain monitoring, logging, and metrics collection to support system health and performance analysisTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a distributed, microservices-based environmentCollaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services
Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope PolygraphBachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined educationNine (9) years or more of professional experience; or seven (7) years of professional experience with a related Master's degreeCurrent Security+CE certificateExperience with Kubernetes, AWS, and IaC
Desired Qualifications
Two (2) from below:Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto scalingUnderstanding of AWS networking principles to include VPCs, NATs, IP GatewayDevelop and manage Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processesCollaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliabilityTroubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptimeKubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
