Job Summary
We’re looking for someone to lead cybersecurity across our OT environments and managed services. This role sits at the intersection of OT engineering, cybersecurity, MSS, and SOC operations. You’ll be responsible for setting directions, tightening execution, and making sure what we say we do show up in how we operate day to day. This is a hands-on leadership role not just strategy but driving outcomes across teams and clients.
What You’ll Own
OT + CybersecurityLead security across SCADA, EMS, and plant networksWork with engineering teams on architecture, hardening, and remote accessMake sure controls are practical and work in operations
MSS & SOCOversee MSS delivery and SOC operations (24/7 monitoring, escalation, response)Improve how we detect, triage, and respond, less noise, more signalDrive consistency across sites and client
NERC CIP & ComplianceOwn CIP alignment across applicable environments (CIP-003 through CIP-013)Support audits, evidence, and remediationMake sure compliance isn’t just paperwork, it reflects reality
Incident Response & RiskLead response for incidents impacting OT or client environmentsSet clear thresholds, playbooks, and escalation pathsKeep risk grounded in operations, not just theory
Client & Stakeholder AlignmentWork directly with clients on security posture, issues, and expectationsTranslate technical issues into clear decisions and actionsSupport growth, new sites, new portfolios, new services
Team & ExecutionLead and develop the MSS, SOC, and OT security teamsSet expectations on how we communicate, respond, and deliverRemove blockers across access, tooling, and clarity, so the team can execute effectively
What We’re Looking For
Strong background in OT security (SCADA, ICS, energy environments)Solid experience with MSS and/or SOC operationsWorking knowledge of NERC CIP and how it applies in practiceExperience handling real incidents, not just tabletop exercisesComfortable operating across engineering, security, and operations teamsAble to push for better outcomes without overcomplicating things
Experience & Requirements
8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on OT / ICS environments3+ years leading teams or programs across cybersecurity, OT, or operationsHands-on experience with OT systems (SCADA, ICS, plant networks) in an operational environment
Nice to Have
Experience in renewables (solar, wind, BESS)Background working with clients (not just internal teams)Certifications like CISSP, GICSP, or similar

This position is fully remote and may be based anywhere in the United States.
The target hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other relevant factors. This range is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a guarantee of any specific salary.
