About the role Forterra is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role will support cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment What you'll do Assist in analyzing production costs, including materials, labor, and overheadPrepare and maintain cost reports and financial recordsSupport inventory valuation and reconciliation processesMonitor and track cost variances and investigate discrepanciesAssist with budgeting and forecasting activitiesParticipate in month-end and year-end closing processesEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting standardsCollaborate with operations and finance teams to improve cost efficiency Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldBasic understanding of cost accounting principles and financial reportingProficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables)Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsGood written and verbal communication skill Preferred Qualifications Internship or coursework related to cost accounting or manufacturing accountingKnowledge of standard costing and variance analysisAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field US Salary Range  $65,000.00—$75,000.00   The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra’s overall compensation package.
