About this role
Mission Brief
In our Launcher AIT (Assembly, Integration, Testing) Team, you are jointly responsible for the technically flawless and timely delivery of our launch vehicles, from the assembly of the first structural elements through our fluid and avionic systems to acceptance tests. Our dynamic multinational team builds and maintains the flight hardware in close collaboration with our engineers and the Integrated Testing team at our launch base.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:
Manufacturing and assembly of structural components and assemblies made from carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) according to drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications
Production and processing CFRP components for space applications
Creation and adaptation of jigs (fixtures) and tooling to support the manufacturing process
Drill composite materials and install rivets and fasteners
Perform structural bodings
Inspection, control, and quality assurance of manufactured CFRP components according to space industry standards
Cautious execution of all work steps while always maintaining an orderly and safe working environment under high cleanliness requirements
Documentation of work steps according to specific regulations
Close collaboration with other departments such as engineering and quality assurance
Participation in test and launch campaigns at different locations inside and outside of Germany
Qualification Checklist
Completed vocational training as a manufacturing technician, aircraft mechanic, or comparable qualification
Professional experience in structural assembly or manufacturing, ideally in the aerospace sector
In-depth knowledge in processing and handling CFRP; experience with metalworking is an advantage
Experience with 3D printing processes is appreciated
Experience in the creation and adaptation of jigs (fixtures) and tooling is an advantage
Proficient in reading and working with technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
Good manual skills, strong quality awareness, and a high standard of cleanliness and precision in all tasks
Willingness to travel occasionally for campaign assignments
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Highly resilience in dynamic environments
Fluent English language skills
