Job Summary
We are looking for a highly autonomous and technically proficient Sr. Manager, FP&A to serve as a key business partner on our commercial team. This is a "player-coach" role designed for a senior professional who can navigate the complexities of music finance independently, build high-trust relationships with label heads, and deliver sophisticated modeling that instills confidence in our executive team, Board and investors.
You will have dual ownership: vertical coverage of specific labels and horizontal ownership of catalog and publishing revenue / COGS across the entire group. You will be the "bridge" that ensures our acquired catalogs (masters and publishing) are accurately modeled, tracked, and reported. This is a hybrid position
Responsibilities
Label Partnership & Vertical Coverage
Executive Relationship Management: Build and maintain direct, high-cadence relationships with Record Label Heads. Act as their primary finance partner, owning forecast accuracy, performance analysis, artist advances deployment insights, and financial support for key initiatives. Business Unit Results: Deliver clear, transparent, and actionable financial results for assigned labels, ensuring label leadership understands their P&L drivers and ROI on capital deploymentOperational Integration: Partner with data, accounting and other cross-functional partners to help develop and monitor performance metrics, identifying specific risks, growth opportunities or efficiency gains within each vertical
Catalog & Publishing Ownership (Horizontals)
Revenue & COGS Accruals: Own the end-to-end performance modeling and accrual process for catalog and publishing revenue across all labels. Ensure COGS and royalty splits are calculated correctlyPost-Acquisition Integration: Work closely with M&A and Accounting teams to ensure seamless financial integration of newly acquired catalogs from the acquisition date forwardData Integrity: Partner with Data to improve data governance and ensure all catalog assets are properly tagged, ingested, and recorded, so that every dollar is attributed correctly in our systems
Complex Modeling & Strategic Finance
Financial Architecture: Develop and maintain complex, scalable financial models to support executive decision-making and multi-year scenario analysisCapital Raising Support: Provide critical support for capital raising activities (Equity and Credit), including sensitivity analysis, covenant compliance tracking, and liquidity forecastingBoard & Investor Relations: Prepare materials for Board meetings, investor presentations, and leadership discussions that provide clarity on business performance and strategic initiatives
Leadership & Systems Excellence
Team Mentorship: Manage and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and professional developmentTech Stack Optimization: Utilize and improve our finance tools (NetSuite, Sigma, Rippling) to consolidate financials and build customizable, real-time dashboards for leadershipCross-Functional Influence: Collaborate across Music, Media, and M&A teams to validate assumptions and provide financial guidance on key corporate initiativesOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CFA strongly preferred8+ years of progressive FP&A or Corporate Finance experience, ideally within the music or media sectors or acquisition-heavy environmentsAdvanced Excel / Sheets skills; experience with FP&A systems and BI tools a plusClear communicator who can explain financial results to non-finance stakeholdersExperience managing or mentoring junior finance professionalsDeep understanding of streaming revenue models, DSP mechanics, and the nuances of royalties and revenue splitsExpert-level financial modeling skills with the ability to build scalable, "stress-testable" models for capital markets and complex multi-entity structuresAdvanced proficiency with NetSuite, AI platforms (e.g., Claude) and data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma)Proven ability to work independently, influence senior label leadership, and manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously
Pay Scale
$140,000 - $150,000 per year The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
