Echodyne is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team working in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions.
In this role, you will develop your experience in radar and PCB/PCBA technology that apply to our products. You will be working in a fast-paced environment developing next generation RADAR systems. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, compliance and enhancement of GMP quality and reliability standards of new product introduction, currently manufactured or procured components, subassemblies and products. This includes production processes and techniques, quality engineering procedures and regulatory compliance. This role monitors product quality, processes, projects and recommends changes to improve operating efficiency. This role reports to the Director, QA & Regulatory Compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide ownership of issues related to manufacturing quality through the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) process
Provide manufacturing validation and process failure mode effects analysis review and support
Assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO 9001 and AS9100 regulations
Represent Quality on various business teams to support product and process improvement.
Plan, write, modify and assist in the implementation of quality and reliability requirements and procedures within the Manufacturing area of Echodyne
Perform analysis and identify trends in finished products, in-process materials and recommends corrective actions and process improvements
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators in the Manufacturing area
Establish plans for improvement of quality and reliability to meet product objectives. Coordinate activities of Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance
Provide consultation on test equipment and failure analysis, including the review of validation activities
Provide direction to other departments to ensure that workmanship standards, acceptance criteria, and general quality policies are met
Provide technical direction to Manufacturing in development of training, certification, audit and other programs in support of manufacturing
Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience with advanced study in the quality sciences and business management disciplines
5+ years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment with three years directly involved in quality engineering
3+ years directly involved in Quality Engineering, working in a regulated environment such as Aerospace, Medical Device or Bio-Pharma
Ability to manage the work of others to meet deadlines in NCRs, CAPAs and other projects
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills to lead Quality efforts
Experience with PCB and PCBA troubleshooting when working with Design Engineers and Contract Manufacturers
Experience in leading NCR and CAPA investigations by leading a team and driving file closure
Custom metal machined parts experience, including dimensional tolerances
Extensive experience providing reviews of manufacturing test methods and troubleshooting test failures
Strong analytical skills with a strong emphasis on statistical analysis using data driven analysis
Strong technical writing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
Experience in radar technology with the ability to provide support as related to Quality systems
Proficient use of electrical, mechanical or environmental procedures, quality control testing equipment and methods
Demonstrated proficiency in project management with proven leadership skills
Black belt or Green belt in either six sigma or design for six sigma
Strong quality background, CQE preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role is$104,030—$155,839 USD
