Echodyne is seeking a Principal Systems Integration and Test Engineer to serve as the technical leader for system-level integration, test, and verification of advanced radar products.
This role is ideal for a software-minded systems engineer who thrives at the intersection of embedded software, hardware, and real-world system performance.
You will own the end-to-end system verification strategy, lead complex integration efforts, and be the technical authority ensuring radar systems meet performance, reliability, and customer requirements across development, qualification, and production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the technical lead for system integration, test, and verification of radar products, including system bring-up, debugging, and performance
Work with internal operations and customer-facing teams on rapid issue resolution
Define and own the system-level verification strategy, requirements coverage, execution traceability, and verification reporting
Architect scalable test frameworks, automation, and tooling to enable repeatable, verification-first system testing
Identify integration risks early and drive mitigation strategies
Support regulatory and compliance testing
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in systems integration, test, and verification of complex embedded systems
Strong systems mindset with hands-on experience in:
Embedded Linux systems with Digital Signal Processing and high-speed networking
Scripting (e.g., Python, PERL, similar)
Test automation and data analysis (e.g., MatLab)
Debugging at hardware and software boundaries (e.g., GDB, Wireshark, etc.)
Experience leading system-level integration across hardware and software
Experience leveraging modern developer productivity tools (e.g., AI-assisted coding, test generation, data analysis, or debugging workflows
Experience defining verification strategies and test architectures for production systems
Exemplary technical communication skills demonstrated from internal and external customer engagements
Ability to travel up to 50%
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Experience with radar, RF sensing, signal processing, or advanced sensor systems
Background in defense, aerospace, or safety-critical systems
Familiarity with environmental, EMI/EMC, or system qualification testing
Experience supporting customer acceptance or operational testing

The expected annual salary range for this role is$164,594—$246,788 USD
