Job Description
The Contract Specialist supports the day-to-day sales execution for our State, Local, and Education (SLED) focused Go To Market Team. This role acts as the operational backbone for the GTM team by managing quoting, contracts, compliance requirements, and vendor coordination specific to public sector customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable navigating the unique procurement processes of government and education organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Support SLED GTM activities throughout the full sales cycle, from opportunity creation through order fulfillmentPrepare, review, and manage quotes, proposals, and bid responses (RFPs, RFQs, IFBs) in coordination with GTM, vendors, and partnersEnsure compliance with SLED procurement rules, contract vehicles (state contracts, cooperatives, GSA-like programs), and internal approval processesCoordinate pricing, deal registration, and special bid requests with OEM and distributor partnersMaintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and forecast data in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)Track contract terms, expiration dates, funding timelines, and renewal opportunitiesServe as a liaison between GTM, finance, legal, and operations to ensure smooth order processing and invoicingAssist with reporting for compliance requirements for various contract vehiclesIdentify process gaps and recommend improvements to increase GTM efficiency and compliance
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in sales operations, contract management, inside sales, or sales support—preferably within a VAR or technology resellerFamiliarity with SLED customers, procurement processes, or public sector contractingStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneouslyExperience working with CRM systems and quoting toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracy, especially with pricing, contracts, and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting SLED or public sector sales teamsKnowledge of common contract vehicles, cooperative purchasing agreements, or bid processesExperience working with technology OEMs, distributors, and partner programsSalesforce or similar CRM experience
