What You'll Do Chess.com Video Editors are responsible for producing high-quality, engaging chess content for a variety of digital platforms. This role requires a blend of highly trained technical editing skill, creative storytelling, and a keen understanding of social media trends. You'll transform raw footage into compelling videos that captivate the global chess community and align with the Chess.com brand. Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished short-form and long-form content optimized for various social media platforms (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, Instagram)Enhance video content through skillful application of motion graphics, cuts, transitions, color correction, audio mixing, visual effects, and graphic overlaysResearch and incorporate current social media trends and innovative editing techniques to keep content fresh and relevantReview raw footage from tournaments and streams to identify key storylines, viral moments, and compelling highlights for standalone contentAnalyze video performance metrics to refine editing style, pacing, and storytelling approaches for maximum audience impact and retentionEnsure all final video assets align with Chess.com's brand guidelines, visual aesthetics, and consistent tone of voiceMaintain flexibility in your schedule, including off-hours and weekendsThis is a full-time opportunityWe are 100% remote (work from anywhere!)
