What you'll do Assess marine related risk including property and liability as it relates to marinas, yacht clubs, and boat dealers.Analyze submitted applications, claim history and market conditions to determine insurabilityDevelop risk management strategies and recommend appropriate insurance solutionsCollaborate with brokers to understand their needs and provide guidance on coverage options Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancement in marine technologiesManage and maintain broker relationships to enhance retention and satisfaction Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marine studies, or related fieldPrevious experience in commercial marine insuranceStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficient in underwriting softwareAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to think criticallyStrong knowledge of commercial marine insurance, specifically marinas, yacht clubs and boat dealers Working Conditions: Requires a quiet work environment with regular sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.Regular use of hands and fingers.Frequent talking or hearing.Vision requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral, focus and depth perception. Additional Information This is a remote position. Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion (typically 2-4x per year).
