About this role
Overview
Physical Superintelligence is a stealth startup with roots at Google, NVIDIA, Harvard, Meta, MIT, Oxford, Johns Hopkins, Cambridge, and the Perimeter Institute building AI systems to discover new physics at scale. We are seeking a partnerships leader to develop and close commercial and strategic partnerships at the intersection of physics, AI, and energy.
Our mission is to discover and commercialize transformative physics breakthroughs at scale with artificial superintelligence, safely, verifiably, and for broad public benefit.
The last century's golden age of physics gave us transistors, lasers, and nuclear energy. We believe artificial superintelligence will unlock the next one. We're creating the infrastructure to industrialize scientific discovery and usher in this new era.
We have one product: new physics, at scale.
Role and Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and close strategic partnerships and customer engagements in data centers, energy, and adjacent verticals. Develop the pitch, value proposition, and deal structure for each.
Build and run the inbound and outbound partnership pipeline. Manage customer and partner relationships from first call through contract close and into ongoing delivery handoff.
Coordinate closely with PSI's technical leadership and forward deployed engineering team to scope engagements, set delivery expectations, and ensure each engagement compounds into platform capability rather than bespoke services.
Represent PSI in customer-facing settings, investor introductions, and industry forums. Build the playbook that scales the partnerships function as PSI grows.
What We're Looking For
Eight or more years in partnerships, business development, or commercial leadership in deep tech, energy, or data centers. You have closed multi-million-dollar deals with technical buyers and can speak to the deal structure, not just the relationship.
Technical literacy strong enough to credibly discuss physics, AI, simulation, and data center engineering with technical executives, even if you do not write code yourself.
A network in data centers, energy, fusion, batteries, hydrogen, carbon capture, or adjacent verticals. You can open doors to senior decision-makers at target customers and partners.
Demonstrated ability to operate without bureaucracy in fast-moving environments. You ship; you do not stall.
Nice to Have
Direct experience selling or partnering with NVIDIA, hyperscalers, or major energy companies.
Background working with Breakthrough Energy Ventures portfolio companies or similar climate or energy investor portfolios.
Prior experience at a Palantir, Scale AI, or Foundry-style forward-deployed commercial team.
Experience supporting fundraising, board narrative, or strategic investor relationships.
How We Work
We are engineering-led. Engineers own problems end-to-end, from spec to ship to on-call. We write contracts before logic, test against real systems instead of mocks, and favor simple designs that ship over clever ones that do not. Our development process is AI-native: engineers work with agentic coding tools daily, write specs that are legible to humans and agents alike, and lead with leverage.
Location and Compensation
This is an in-person role based in Boston or San Francisco, with regular travel to customer and partner sites. We offer competitive compensation including salary, benefits, and meaningful early-stage equity. We evaluate on commercial judgment, technical literacy, scientific curiosity, and shipping velocity. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diverse perspectives in building platforms for AI-driven discovery.
