About the Role
Mytra is seeking a Director of Customer Deployment & Sustainment to lead end-to-end execution and lifecycle ownership of our customer deployments. This leader will own the strategy, execution framework, external partnerships, and operational excellence of bringing Mytra systems from pre-deployment readiness through commissioning, go-live, and long-term sustainment.
This role operates at the intersection of Operations, Hardware, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Field Services. You will serve as the executive point of accountability for deployment success, cross-functional readiness, and sustained system performance at customer sites. You will build scalable processes, develop playbooks, and lead a high-performing team responsible for construction coordination, system commissioning, and post-launch service excellence.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end Customer Deployment & Sustainment strategy across all customer sitesLead quarterly, monthly, and weekly planning across deployment and sustainment teams to ensure predictable executionServe as the executive POC (or assign POC leadership) for all construction, commissioning, and sustainment-related cross-functional initiativesPartner closely with Internal Operations (VP of Scaling & team), Supply Chain, Hardware, and CX to coordinate:Material readiness (kits, landed materials, trucking to site)Site prep, layout and building readinessHardware installation and system bring-upCommissioning and ramp to full operational capacity
Establish and scale standardized deployment and sustainment playbooksEnsure systems are commissioned, operational, and meeting ISA and customer performance requirementsOwn team OKRs and continuously evaluate business impact against company-level goalsBuild and develop a high-performing team of deployment managers, field leaders, and sustainment personnelDrive prioritization and resource allocation across all internal deployment programsSupport other CX teams to ensure seamless customer experience across lifecycle phasesEscalate and resolve customer scope changes, performance gaps, and execution risksDefine long-term sustainment strategy including:Service technician programsPartner enablement and trainingOngoing maintenance frameworks
Contribute to company-level operational strategy as a senior leader
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in deployment, operations, hardware implementation, construction coordination, or field execution leadership5+ years leading managers and cross-functional teamsProven experience bringing complex hardware/software systems from install through commissioning and full production rampDeep understanding of:Material flow systemsHardware installation and site build readinessOperational scaling and sustainment models
Strong cross-functional leadership experience across Operations, Product, Supply Chain, and Customer teamsExperience managing executive-level stakeholders internally and externallyAbility to operate strategically while diving deep into technical and operational detailsExperience building scalable playbooks and standardized processes across multiple customer deployments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in robotics, automation, warehouse systems, or supply chain technologiesPMP or similar program management certification
Experience supporting enterprise-level customersBackground in construction management, industrial systems, or large-scale hardware commissioningExperience building partner-based service models

Pay Notice
Compensation for this position will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience level and location. The posted salary band is applicable only to the San Francisco Bay Area and is subject to change for other locations.
The pay range for this role is: $220,000 – $240,000 USD per year
