About the role
As an Engineering Manager on our team, you will lead a talented team of engineers in building compelling high-quality features for the Turbine platform. You will focus heavily on execution and team mentorship, while ensuring the team delivers on their commitments
What you'll do
Recruit, manage, motivate and mentor team of engineersLead the engineering team to increase throughput, improve quality, and continuously improve processesCoach team members on software development and testing best practicesWork with architectural teams to ensure sound architectural decisions are madeProvide performance feedback for the teamProvides pace setting for the team to drive team performanceCollaborate with other engineering managers and leaders to identify technical and customer-facing impactsRecommend best practices or alternative approaches to solving challenging problemsArticulate development status and challenges to stakeholdersHave 1:1s with every team member on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.Work with all stakeholders to define priorities and roadmapBe responsible for the overall success of the team.Cultivate Engineering culture and practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or comparable or relevant work experience5+ years of work experience in an engineering role2+ years of engineering or technical leadership experienceTechnical experience in C# or Typescript\JavascriptExperience in data storage in SQL or document based databasesExperience working in Agile EnvironmentsExperience in recruiting, managing, motivating, and mentoring a team of engineersExcellent communication, presentation and collaborative problem-solving skillsA quality-first mindset
