The role:
We are hiring a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to support and enhance our accounting foundation as Hashgraph continues to scale.
This role will play a key part in ensuring our financial reporting and technical accounting processes are accurate, well-documented, and audit-ready, while partnering closely with finance leadership on complex accounting matters.
You’ll operate at the center of high-impact accounting decisions, contributing to a system that is evolving toward greater scale, rigor, and complexity.
In this role, you will:
Execute technical accounting analysis for complex transactions, ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP in partnership with finance leadership
Support financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles
Draft technical accounting memos, policies, and documentation to support audits and internal governance
Partner cross-functionally to assess accounting implications of new initiatives, contracts, and business decisions
Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal controls and SOX readiness efforts
Identify and drive process improvements across accounting workflows to increase efficiency and scalability
Support audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries

Financial reporting cycles are supported with high-quality, accurate, and timely contributions
Technical accounting analyses and memos are well-structured, thorough, and audit-ready
Documentation and accounting policies are clear, consistent, and aligned with external audit expectations
Internal controls and reporting processes are strengthened through your contributions
Process improvements are identified and implemented, increasing efficiency across accounting workflows
Cross-functional stakeholders view finance as a reliable and structured partner in decision-making

Functional expertise:
8–12 years of accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred) or equivalent technical accounting experience
CPA certification (preferred)
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards
Experience supporting financial reporting and close processes
Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls
Experience drafting technical accounting memos and documentation
Experience working in high-growth or evolving environments
Nice to haves:
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
Exposure to blockchain/web3/digital asset accounting
