About the role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Accounting Manager to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role is perfect for a driven professional who is passionate about media, entertainment, and technology. Key Responsibilities Assist with the monthly accounting close process including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedulesPrepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standardsPrepare monthly P&Ls with actual vs. budget and forecast for each Division/Department, and research variances as neededResponsible for maintaining the A/R aging and ensuring timely collection of receivablesMaintain revenue recognition schedules based on legal agreements and relevant accounting guidanceWork with the A/P team to ensure invoices are coded correctly and processed in a timely mannerAssist with cash management including preparation of the cash flow (direct method) and cash forecastingParticipate in the preparation of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecastAssist with internal and external auditsRespond to management questions by researching and analyzing dataSupport special projects and process improvement initiativesResearch technical accounting issues as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.3-6 years of Finance or Accounting experience; Entertainment industry experience a plusCPA, MBA, master’s in accounting, or public accounting experience a plusStrong Excel and Word skills required, NetSuite experience a plusDetailed orientedExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the organizationStrong analytical skills required; along with attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlinesAble to work independently and as part of a team to accomplish the goals of the accounting departmentStrong time management and interpersonal skills Salary & Benefits: Salary: $100K - $160K Benefits, FSA, 401k The Wonder Project, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
