About the role
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and people-first People Operations Generalist to support the full employee experience and drive operational excellence across our growing team. At our startup stage, this role will also play a key part in helping us scale by supporting core recruitment processes. What you'll do
Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries across HR policies, benefits, and internal programsMaintain and update employee records in our HRIS and related platformsFacilitate a white-glove candidate experience from application to offerHelp organize and optimize recruiting workflows, templates, and internal documentationEnsure compliance with local labor lawsSupport documentation and reporting for audits, legal requests, and regulatory filingsMaintain and refine HR policies, handbooks, and standard operating proceduresCoordinate benefits enrolment, open enrolment communications, and employee questions in partnership with brokersSupport payroll processing by collecting and verifying data and working closely with Finance or external payroll vendorsAssist with employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition, and company eventsHelp coordinate learning and development efforts, including scheduling trainings and tracking participationSupport internal communications and HR branding to enhance employee connection and transparencyContinuously identify opportunities for process improvement and scalability in People Ops and recruitment practices
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in an HR, People Operations, or Talent role, preferably in a startup or high-growth environmentExperience supporting recruitment or coordination within a small team or scrappy settingWorking knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance standards (international a plus)Familiarity with HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Rippling, Greenhouse, Lever)Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-throughExcellent interpersonal and written communication skillsDiscretion and sound judgment when handling confidential informationGrowth mindset and passion for improving both the employee and candidate experience
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting a distributed workforceExposure to payroll processing, benefits, or vendor managementFluency in one or more non-English languages
