Patient Scheduling & Insurance Coordinator – Outpatient Clinic (Hybrid) Tampa, FL

Job Title: Infusion Coordinator Job Summary: The Infusion Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end order processing for infusion services including order intake, chart review, insurance eligibility, drug ordering, patient scheduling, and ensuring timely processing of infusion appointments for an assigned physician office. This a hybrid role with 3 days in clinic and 2 days remote. Key Responsibilities: - Perform intake duties for infusion orders, including creating patient charts, reviewing and entering orders, obtaining clinical requirements, and communicating with prescribers regarding required clinical documentation. - Verify insurance eligibility, obtain clinical requirements for authorizations, and track patients’ progress. - Communicate with patients and providers regarding the status of infusion order. - Perform or assist with enrollment of eligible patients into manufacturer copay assistance programs and/or foundations. - Educate patients on pre- and post-infusion expectations and answer questions about patient appointments. - Schedule patient appointments for infusion services. - Coordinate drug orders prior to infusion appointments. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Excellent verbal and written communication skills including superior interpersonal and patient contact skills, and excellent telephone manners. - Minimum of one year of experience with patient scheduling and insurance verification for medical services, with general knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes.
