Position Summary / Role As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you’ll own the design and delivery of custom functionality across our platform—built on Health Cloud and B2B Commerce. You’ll work within an engineering team that follows strong patterns—trigger handler frameworks, adapter/factory patterns, service classes, and comprehensive test coverage. You’ll collaborate with the Salesforce Administrator who handles declarative configuration and translates business requirements into user stories, and with the Engineering Manager who aligns technical execution with product strategy. You’ll mentor other developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and help maintain the quality and scalability of the platform as we grow. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and queueable processes following established patterns and best practicesBuild and enhance Lightning Web Components for our Experience Cloud portals, checkout flows, and internal toolsOwn and extend integrations with external systems—Stripe payment gateway, fulfillment service APIs (multiple versions), and WorkOS MFAWrite and maintain comprehensive Apex test classes to ensure high code coverage and reliable deploymentsDevelop invocable actions and Flow-accessible Apex to extend declarative automation built by the Salesforce AdministratorImplement and optimize SOQL/SOSL queries, ensuring governor limit compliance and performance at scaleDesign and build REST APIs and platform event-driven architectures for async processingExtend B2B Commerce functionality—custom cart logic, checkout extensions, order management, and fulfillment workflowsParticipate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and maintaining code quality standardsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, including integration failures, governor limit exceptions, and data integrity problemsContribute to architectural decisions around security, sharing models, and data access patternsMentor junior developers and share knowledge across the teamWork with the Engineering Manager to estimate, plan, and deliver work within sprint cyclesPartner with the Salesforce Administrator to assess technical feasibility and recommend the best path to delivery—declarative vs. custom developmentPick up user stories and acceptance criteria written by the Salesforce Administrator and deliver production-ready codeParticipate in sprint ceremonies—standups, planning, retrospectives, and demosCollaborate on release planning, deployment strategies, and CI/CD improvementsShare work in progress through recorded demos with the broader company Required Qualifications 5+ years of Salesforce development experience with a strong focus on Apex and Lightning Web ComponentsDeep understanding of Apex design patterns—trigger handlers, service classes, selector patterns, and separation of concernsExperience building and consuming REST APIs and working with external service integrations on the Salesforce platformStrong proficiency with asynchronous Apex—batch jobs, queueable, future methods, and platform eventsExperience with Salesforce B2B Commerce or Order Management customizationSolid understanding of SOQL/SOSL optimization, governor limits, and bulkification patternsExperience with Salesforce security model—sharing rules, permission sets, field-level security, and data access patternsTrack record of writing comprehensive test classes and maintaining high code coverageExperience with source-driven development (SFDX / SF CLI) and version control (Git)Ability to work within agile teams and deliver iteratively within sprint cyclesStrong communication skills - you’ll work across engineering, product, and business stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with Salesforce Health CloudExperience with Experience Cloud portal development and customizationFamiliarity with payment gateway integrations (Stripe or similar) on the Salesforce platformExperience with complex approval processes and workflow automationExperience supporting healthcare or pharmaceutical industry platformsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deploymentsExperience mentoring junior developers and leading technical discussionsSalesforce Certified Platform Developer ISalesforce Certified Platform Developer IISalesforce Certified B2B Commerce DeveloperSalesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I Core Competencies / Skills Apex development and Lightning Web ComponentsSystems integration and API designProblem-solving and debugging at scaleCollaboration and cross-functional communicationMentorship and technical leadershipSelf-directed time management in a remote environment Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is a fully remote position.
