What's the role?
We are seeking a Sales Development Representative with relevant business experience to support lead generation and conversion efforts within the Sales team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and uses proven sales strategies to engage and develop prospective accounts.
Collaborate with the business development team to research and prioritize target account listsGenerate new business opportunities by performing outbound sales activities (prospecting)Explain the value proposition of our product and communicate key information on our productsGather information on prospects, including fit and timingEducate prospective customers on how our software works and how it can benefit themNurture leads through ongoing phone and email communicationsUse Salesforce to track prospects and keep information currentWork with marketing to create materials that support lead generation and nurturing activitiesActively build product knowledge to ensure a high level of literacy on our productFocus on achieving monthly quotas of outbound calls, appointments set, opportunities created and sales accepted leadsBuild a strong ongoing pipeline of prospects and leads
What you offer...
University degree or College diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science and/or relevant work experience1-3 years’ experience working in Sales or similar capacity roleStrong understanding of consultative sales skills with potentially long sales cyclesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGoal oriented with a strong desire to succeedAbility to work independently, meet deadlines, and work under pressure with changing prioritiesDetail oriented and highly organizedGood working knowledge of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office applications)Proficient in a multi-task environment; can type, text, email, and present via web and phoneAn understanding of web technologies and computer programming – a plus but not required
